1-1 Private Counseling

Be The Exception

Meet Watene, affectionately known as Wa, the heart and soul behind Amend Movement. Beyond his title as a devoted father to three beautiful children on the Gold Coast of Australia, Wa carries a profound personal journey that fuels his passion for helping others.

Hailing from Napier, New Zealand, Wa's early years were shaped by the challenges of a turbulent and dysfunctional environment. Despite facing adversities that could have defined his path, Wa emerged resilient and driven by a deep empathy for others who navigate similar struggles.

His personal trials include becoming a father at the tender age of 15 to a child born with cancer, grappling with his own diagnosis of requiring a bone marrow transplant and experiencing the emotional journey of having a young daughter diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. These life-altering events not only forged Wa's resilience but instilled in him a profound understanding of the healing power of empathy.

Wa's commitment to mental health extends beyond personal experiences; he has dedicated years to working in the mental health field. As a former practicing social worker at a behavior school and a collaborator with the Department of Child Safety, Wa brings a wealth of hands-on experience to his role.

As an experienced personal development mentor and qualified counsellor, Wa's expertise transcends age and cultural boundaries. His passion lies in supporting individuals from all walks of life, fostering healing, and guiding them towards fulfilling and purpose-driven lives. From assisting people on their journey to wholeness to enhancing the performance of elite athletes, Wa's impact is profound and diverse.
